I’m almost done with my Farm Girl Vintage quilt blocks, so I decided to design a layout for the quilt top. I knew I wanted sashing between the blocks and I thought about having solid cornerstones at the intersections of the sashing, but then I decided to do nine-patch blocks instead. Here’s the layout I’m going to use:
I’ll need 42 of the 45 blocks I’m making, so I’ll use the other three blocks on the quilt back or make them into pillows or something.
Here’s a couple of pictures of the finished cornerstones:
As you can see, I decided to reverse the color scheme from the layout picture. The cornerstones will be turquoise and the border will be red. 🙂
