I’ve been wanting a little place to put my scissors and a few other odds and ends while I’m sewing. My sewing table is small, so I’m always knocking things off into the floor and having to stop to retrieve them. When I saw this pattern, it was a match made in heaven!
The pattern is Undercover Maker Mat from Lillyella Stitchery on Craftsy. Even better, it’s a free pattern! On my last trek to the fabric store, I had found this cherry fabric that I had to have, but I didn’t have a project in mind for it. It was serendipity, because I had just enough to make this project. I left off the secondary pockets on the front, so I just have the one main row of pockets, but it’s more than enough room for what I need.
This is my third finish for the 2016 Finish-A-Long Q1!
I finished the quilt top and the pieced back today! I can’t wait to get this one bundled up and off to my long-arm quilter! It’s so adorable! ❤
I put the borders on the top today after I finished sewing the back together. Aren’t those blocks cute?
The backing for the quilt is pieced as well. I’ve never made a quilt with a pieced back before, so I’m interested to see how it will look after it’s been quilted. I love that camera block! ❤
I finished blocks 9, 10 and 11 a few days ago and I was getting ready to post a picture of the almost finished quilt top, when Fat Quarter Shop released the 12th pattern early! I figured I’d go ahead and get that one done and then post the whole completed top. 🙂 So, here it is and I love it!
I’m waiting on one piece of fabric to arrive for the backing and then I can finish it up too and get it off to the long-arm quilter. Can’t wait to have this one finished up. 🙂
I wasn’t particularly looking forward to making this block because of all the pieces. My set of Alphabitties has A-Z and 0-9 and I had to label a few pieces with post-it notes on top of that! After we got done with homeschool this morning, I started cutting and labeling and sewing. It wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be. Keep calm and follow the directions, right? 🙂
I finally got the latest block for my Snapshots quilt done! Our vacation to the Outer Banks last month threw off my sewing schedule. 🙂 Here’s Up, Up & Away!
Triple Scoop Sundae is block #6 in the Snapshots Quilt. It was so much fun to sew this one today, on one of the hottest days of the summer so far! I may have to take the kids to get ice cream later. 🙂 Snapshots Quilt is from Fat Quarter Shop and you can find all the patterns and YouTube video tutorials here.
Block #5 completed! I just love this one! Snapshots Quilt is from Fat Quarter Shop and you can find all the patterns and YouTube video tutorials here.
Block #4 is done! I can’t get over how cute these blocks are! Snapshots Quilt is from Fat Quarter Shop and you can find all the patterns and YouTube video tutorials here.
Block #3 is done! A cute tea kettle to go with my cake and sewing machine blocks. Snapshots Quilt is from Fat Quarter Shop and you can find all the patterns and YouTube video tutorials here.
This quilt was made from a freebie pattern from Fat Quarter Shop. You can get the pattern here and you can watch the YouTube video tutorial here. It’s so cute! I’m going to hang it up in our homeschool/quilting room. 🙂
